The Pantone color of the year for 2015 is..

Marsala - Naturally robust and earthy wine red. Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls.

Marsala-Wedding-InspirationWe are fashionista's over here at Peony Events, which is what truly sets us a part from the rest, you have a built in fashion stylist, event designer and wedding consultant all in one! We can't wait to see which of our fashion forward brides will be using Marsala into their color palette's next year. I can tell you this is one of my colors for my baby shower this coming January..Marsala and blush! I knew I wanted to use a red hue, since January is my birthday month (Aquarius) and my birthstone is garnet..and well, blush because it's a GIRL!

ImageA few of our favorite pairings with Pantone's Marsala: Blush, Seafoam green, Gold, French blue and Robin egg blue. Tell us what you think about Pantone's color for 2015!

Peony Events Welcomes Jenny & Tyler ~ Crystal Springs Resort

We are so excited to officially welcome Jenny & Tyler with our love story blog that we love to do! Our couple's stories are too good not to share! Jenny and Tyler are just as sweet as they are beautiful, we are so excited to be a part of their big day!!
Peony Events
Jenny and Tyler met in Morristown during the fall of 2011.  Both being football fans, they met through a mutual friend during Sunday Funday football outings. They quickly became friends and when Tyler got in touch with Jenny before Thanksgiving that year to hang out, Jenny thought he meant with all of their friends.  But Tyler had to clarify: he wanted to ask Jenny out on a date.
Peony Events
After cooking her dinner, Tyler asked Jenny to become an official couple and they have been together ever since.  During a vacation in April to Aruba Tyler proposed to Jenny on their first night, while at dinner.
Peony Events
They will always remember the champagne popping, Hector the waiter, and Gianni's fabulous food.  They are looking forward to a fall wedding at Crystal Springs Resort and plan to dance the night away with close family and friends.
From Jenny:
I am so excited to work with Stacey and Peony Events.  My mom found Stacey's company while searching the web one day.  We were looking for someone special to put those finishing touches on our ideas for a rustic fall blush wedding.  After meeting with Stacey we knew she would be perfect to create the vision we were looking for, not missing any small detail.  She makes wedding planning so much fun and is genuinely excited to be part of your special day.
Thank you so much, Jenny, for your kind words! We are honored that you chose us!! xoxo

Home For Easter

We hope everyone who celebrates Easter had a lovely holiday weekend with those you love!

I (Stacey) had so much fun hosting our families yesterday! It was a small crew this year, table for 11, the perfect size (for our dining room)! We wanted everyone to be able to feast at one table, so we put in the extra leaf and ordered gold chiavari chairs from A Party Pleasing. By doing this, it created plenty of space for everyone to sit comfortably, we even had enough room for one more!

Easter Table

We wanted to mix the traditional pastel shades of Easter with an extra pop of color, creating that WOW factor effect! The color palette for the day: Pale blues, shades of pink, green, whites and gold. The linens were a gorgeous pale blue and creamy white (Williams Sonoma, Painterly Damask Tablecloth & Napkins) perfect for any spring or summer event you may be hosting. We used a mix of vintage, antique plates that were my Grandmother-in-laws. Each guest were greeted at their place setting by a pretty die cut peony place card purchased at Laura Clare's Florist in Bernardsville, NJ and a yummy chocolate bunny pop from Enjou Chocolat in Morristown, NJ, we tied them with beautiful blue ribbon. The centerpiece was a mix of a few of our favorite's: blue hydrangea, pink peonies, white tulips and silver dollar eucalyptus done by Laura @ Laura Clare's - she let us hand select the florals and she arranged everything so beautifully for us in a low, gold mercury glass pedestal vase. She definitely knows my taste to a T! For the double chandeliers in the room, I really wanted to create a garden like atmosphere indoors - fresh eucalyptus from Laura and live ivy and bright pink tulips from plants purchased from one of my favorite places, Morris County Farms in Denville, NJ.

The dinner menu: Roasted rosemary chickens, chive and dill mashed potatoes, melon arugula salad with homeade lemon dressing, roasted snap peas with asparagus and my mother's homeade rolls. For sweets, we enjoyed a beautiful fruit platter + red velvet cupcakes made by my Mom (family tradition since before they were a worldwide favorite), vanilla cupcakes with lemon zest icing that I made, mini chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake that my mother-in-law made, cute little lemon sugar cookies from Williams Sonoma and of course jelly beans galore! Everything was delicious over our chai tea latte's, Starbucks house blend coffees and iced hot chocolate for the kids (thank goodness for Keurig's)!

After dinner we had an Easter Egg Hunt for my nieces and played Bocce Ball!

Happy Easter from The Sainato's!

On Trend: Embellished Accessories For The Bride

Embellishments are in for accessories, but you don't need to match them perfectly,  the look right now is all about mixing different shades of beads, crystals & pearls.  Don't feel like you have to have the same beads or crystals on your handbag that you have on your shoes. Instead of making yourself nuts trying to match the exact same shade, choose items from the same color family, since neutrals like tan, gray, champagne, silver, copper and white all look so great together.
Just remember that less is more, making a statement with a fabulous pair of earrings and a cuff will do wonders or just a statement necklace, pick which direction you want to go in (or switch it up from ceremony to reception) and whatever you do, DO NOT over accessorize on your BIG day!
