Seasonal Spring Wedding Flowers

Happy first day of spring! Spring brides have the option to use cheerful, bright colors in shades of perfect pinks, pretty purples and beautiful blues.

Spring is all about new beginnings and is the perfect time for wedding season to kick off! Flowering bulbs, such as tulips and hyacinths come into season. Peonies are available from late spring to early summer; they are the favorite flower of many brides (and us!). Another popular spring wedding flower is the Hyacinth, these fragrant flowers come in shades of red, blue, white, orange, pink, violet, or yellow.

Many spring wedding flowers are known for their scents, choose flowers with pretty fragrances that are not too overpowering. Just a few stems of Oriental lilies can fill the air with a strong sweet perfume, so they are best used in larger venues. Stephanotis, freesia, stock, tuberoses, sweet peas and English Garden Roses bring the outdoors in, they have a light sweet fragrance and are the perfect look for mother-of-the-bride and groom corsages and bridal bouquets.

Spring seasonal flowers are the most economical for weddings held in March, April and May. Apple or cherry blossoms, Daffodils, Delphinium, Dogwoods, Forsythia branches, Hyacinths, Hydrangeas, Iris, Larkspur, Lilacs, Lilies, Lily of the valley, Lisianthus, Mini Calla Lily, Pansies, Peonies, Ranunculus, Roses, Sweet peas, Tulips. You can mix these seasonal flowers with flowers that are available all year round, such as roses, lilies, gerbera daisies, orchids, anthuriums, and other tropical flowers.

Here are a few ideas we love for spring wedding flowers!

Erin and Owen's Spring Lake, New Jersey wedding is going to be fabulous and we are so happy to be on board with them!

Owen knew when he met Erin, at the age of eight, that there was a connection from the start.  Despite being friends for several years, Erin and Owen only began dating in the Fall of 2009, when they were both living and working NYC.  From that point on, it was clear to them, as it had been to many in their lives, they these two were destined to end up together.  They have had a fantastic courtship in the city, so it was only proper that they became engaged on a cold blustery day in December, while on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights.  Having grown up in New Jersey, appreciating amazing summers at the Jersey Shore, they knew that they wanted to have their wedding in Spring Lake, NJ.  They are looking forward spending their wedding in, September 2014, overlooking the ocean at the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club, with cherished friends and family!

From bride-to-be, Erin:

"After looking on numerous sites and places for a day of wedding coordinator - I came across Peony Events while searching Style Me Pretty.  Stacey’s work looked so elevated, classic, and done to perfection, so I knew I needed to meet with her!  The reviews of Stacey and her team’s work were glowingly positive and after meeting Stacey, I was confident she would help flawlessly execute my ideal wedding!  Her poise and calm demeanor and obvious knowledge of the wedding business, help solidify our decision to choose Peony Events for our wedding!"

Thank you, Erin, for such kind words! I'm so honored that you chose us and we are excited to be a part of your wedding!

{Welcome} Laurie + Victor ~ June 6th, 2015 Wedding @ The Park Savoy

We are so excited to welcome our lovely new NYC couple, Laurie + Victor, to the PE family! Just wait until you hear their story, your heart will melt, ours sure did.

"Laurie and Victor met their senior year of college...on spring break!  Laurie was attending Villanova University and Victor was at Virginia Tech, but they both happened to be on the same spring break in The Bahamas.  They instantly felt a connection and once their trip had ended, they knew they had to see each other again.  It didn't take long for the two to start dating and soon after, they quickly fell in love.

Laurie was born and raised in northern New Jersey and Victor, a French native is from Nice, France.  They got engaged this past June while Laurie and her family were visiting Victor's family in the French Riviera.  Victor took Laurie away her first night there to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a small town in the countryside of Nice and proposed to her!  The couple was so happy to have both families be a part of their engagement celebration.

Laurie and Victor live together in New York City where she works in the fashion industry and he works in finance.  They will be getting married on June 6, 2015 at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, NJ.  Their vision for the wedding is to add romantic, french touches to this classic, american estate which represents them as a Franco-American couple.  After meeting with Stacey from Peony Events, the bride knew she was in good hands and that they could help execute the wedding of her dreams!"

During our consultation, I could've sat and chatted with Laurie all night! Everything about this couple is romantic, we can't wait to start planning their June 2015 wedding, it's going to be spectacular!
